BADGES FOR BASEBALL

Since 2019 The Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation has partnered with S.A.F.E. to provide an annual Badges for Baseball event bringing together KC metro area youth and local law enforcement agencies together. The event includes multi-sport clinic, enforcement presentation and dinner.

Badges provides a strong platform for law enforcement mentors, program partners and youth the ability to positively interact, and provide healing and transformative experiences. This meaningful connection creates trust between law enforcement and community members promoting a healthy relationship that garner positive future outcomes.

Ripken Summer Camp

Each year S.A.F.E. has been able to send players to the Ripken Summer Camp, an all expense paid 5 day overnight camp in Aberdeen, MD. The Ripken Summer Camp is an opportunity for deserving young people from across the country to come together for a week to learn baseball/softball skills while simultaneously developing life-long character traits that will help them on the path to success.
